Centrifugally Cast Iron Pipe: Reliable Municipal Pipeline Solution from TIANYISUNS

Oct 19, 2026

TIANYISUNS Centrifugally Cast Iron Pipe is a well-established municipal pipeline product that has been supplied to global engineering projects for many years. Manufactured through advanced centrifugal casting technology, this pipe is widely adopted in urban water supply, sewage collection, irrigation, and infrastructure renovation. As one of TIANYISUNS' core conventional pipeline products, it has accumulated abundant field operation records and stable project feedback, trusted by contractors, engineering consultants, and municipal authorities worldwide.

Centrifugal Casting Manufacturing Process

The pipe is produced by high-speed centrifugal casting. After adding a nodulizing agent to molten iron, the liquid metal fills the rotating mould under centrifugal force. This forming method ensures uniform wall thickness, dense internal structure, and fewer casting defects. Followed by annealing heat treatment, the material obtains balanced strength and ductility, combining the corrosion resistance of cast iron and the toughness of steel. Compared with static cast pipes, centrifugally cast iron pipe delivers more consistent mechanical performance for long-term underground burial.

Material and Anti-corrosion Protection

TIANYISUNS centrifugally cast iron pipe is made of premium ductile iron material, meeting ISO2531, EN545 and EN598 international standards. The product series covers multiple grades including K7, K8, K9, C25, C30 and C40.

Multiple coating options are available to suit different soil and water-quality conditions. The internal cement mortar lining protects the pipe body and keeps conveyed water clean. Alternative internal linings include sulphate-resistant cement mortar, high-aluminum cement mortar, and epoxy coating. For external protection, zinc plus bitumen coating, zinc-aluminum alloy coating, or fusion bonded epoxy coating can be selected to resist soil oxidation, chemical erosion, and underground moisture. The complete anti-corrosion system supports a service life of more than 50 years under normal buried conditions.

Specification Range and Connection Design

The nominal diameter ranges from DN80 to DN2600, with a standard pipe length of 6 meters, and can be cut to 5.7 meters according to project requirements. The mainstream push-on socket-spigot joint adopts a high-quality EPDM rubber gasket. The flexible joint allows small angular deflection and axial displacement. The system can accommodate slight ground settlement and geological movement, which helps prevent pipe cracking and leakage at the joints. For high-pressure projects, restrained joint types are available as an option. Each finished pipe undergoes hydrostatic pressure testing before shipment to ensure sealing safety at working pressures of PN10, PN16, PN25, and PN40.

Wide Application Scenarios

This centrifugally cast iron pipe serves as a versatile infrastructure pipeline. It is commonly used for drinking water transmission networks, urban sewage drainage systems, farmland irrigation, industrial water circulation, airport and port underground pipelines, as well as highway drainage projects. It performs steadily in complex environments such as heavy traffic roads, coastal saline soil, and swamp areas.

Quality Control and Project Support

TIANYISUNS implements full-process quality inspection, from raw-material incoming checks to finished pipe delivery. The company maintains stable mass production capacity and reliable global supply chain. A professional engineering team provides technical consultation on coating selection, joint installation, and pipeline layout. As a mature product, centrifugally cast iron pipe continues to support long-term municipal and industrial infrastructure construction worldwide.
